I wanted to organize the tools I like to have handy at my workbench when I build 3D printers, models, watches & clocks, and electronic PCBs. So I decided to design a custom 3D printable tool caddy. This is the result. It just fits on the build plate of my Prusa MK4S, takes 24 hours to print and consumes 960g of filament.
I've included the model of the tool organizer along with models for each of the tools I like to have on hand. The models are in STEP format.
I did not try to optimize print speed or the amount of filament used. So with a 15 percent infill, the print takes about 24 hours on my MK4S with 0.4 nozzle, and uses about 90 percent of a 1KG spool of filament.
