This wireframe Sierpiński pyramid fractal started from an octahedron I made in CAD. I brought it into Blender, subtracted portions from the original octahedron, creating the initial wireframe-like structure. I then cut that octahedron in half to form the square pyramid shape. That resulting shape was instanced onto the points of another octahedron, iteratively, forming this level 4 fractal.

The model prints in approximately 43 hours and requires no supports. The example shown in the photos was printed in Sovol tri-color silk PLA in Blue, Yellow, & Fuchsia, which nicely accentuates the repeating geometry of the design.

Print Settings:
Nozzle: 0.4 mm
Layer Height: 0.16 mm with 0.2 mm base layer
Infill: 10%, Gyroid
Bottom Layer Pattern: (Optional) Hilbert Curve
Supports: None
