This is a small leveling pier, designed for use with the DwarfLAB Dwarf Mini telescope. It uses 6mm-thread leveling feet. I like the kind that swivel, for uneven surfaces. The center has a hole for a 1/4-20 bolt to mount to either the Dwarf mini directly, or to an EQ tilt platform. I like this Move-Shoot-Move V-mount platform. The slots in the sides allow for a 1.5" velcro strap to keep the base locked in place.

The MSM V-mount has a level in the bottom. I strap the pier loosely in place, and use the feet to get it level. Then tighten the velcro.  Once that is done, I run PA to make rotation and tilt adjustments to the V-mount. Once set, I usually do not need to adjust the tilt again, unless I take the scope to another site. If I'm in the same rough location, once I get the base level, I typically just have to adjust rotation a little bit, since I can't humanly place it back in the exact same spot as before. Most of the time I can get to "Perfect Alignment" in under 5 minutes, even in a new location.

The whole thing fits in a typical fanny pack, scope and all, with room to spare.
