I needed a thumbscrew for two flathead screws to fix a 3D printed scissor adapter. I used freecad to make one out of two involute gears. Its a simple and fast method and it also allows to quickly change sizes using the included freecad file. I made the size slightly smaller than the screw head and just hammered the screw in.
