A tantalizingly tactile game for kids and adults alike. Hide the objects under a towel or in a bag, roll the dice, find and retrieve the correct objects by touch, and win the round.
There's usually a lot of sensory play for toddlers/kindergarten. But if you're a little older or an adult there is not much to find. So here's a game for those that are (maybe just a little bit) older.
Setup
One set of the three dice is needed
All players need a pyramid, cube, star, ring, rod and square
All players needs something like a small bag, towel or big sock to hide the items while searching for the correct items
Gameplay
One of the players rolls the dice (maybe the one with the smallest hands begins?)
All players try to be the first to identify and retrieve all the correct items by touch and without looking
The winner of the round gets a "touch token"
First to five tokens wins.
Dice
The top faces of the dice depicts the objects to get. If all three dice show blank faces. Congratulations! You get to roll again!
Tokens
For an extra challenge, and to level the playing field a little, you could hide the won tokens with the objects. This will make it a little more difficult for the players that are ahead.
Printing
No special materials needed, PLA is fine
No supports needed
I've printed the dice at 0.15mm layer height for more definition on the icons. 0.2 or 0.25 should be fine as well
Placement and orientation as modeled
Not intended for small kids. Includes small parts. Choking hazard.
