This is a 250 ml rounded dessert bowl designed specifically for FDM 3D printing.

The original goal was to create a bowl inspired by soft, organic dessert cup shapes, while keeping it practical for printers like the Bambu Lab A1 and similar machines.
To make it truly printable, the geometry was refined to reduce the cone-like look and create a fuller, more rounded profile, with a wider base and a lower-risk overhang profile.

The result is a small bowl/cup that looks elegant, feels comfortable to use, and can be printed upright without supports.

Design notes

This model was intentionally adapted for FDM printing:

  • smoother rounded body

  • larger base for better bed adhesion and stability

  • reduced risk of excessive overhang

  • rounded upper edge for a more refined look and better user comfort

A thinner layer height improves the surface quality, especially on curved walls, but the most important part is the geometry itself: this bowl was designed to stay printable without relying on supports.

Dimensions

  • Top outer diameter: 100 mm

  • Height: 59 mm

  • Base diameter: 52 mm

  • Wall thickness: 1.8 mm

  • Bottom thickness: 2.6 mm

  • Capacity: approx. 250 ml

Batch printing note

A 4-up layout was prepared to allow efficient production on a Bambu Lab A1 build plate.
This makes it easier to print multiple bowls in one run for small-batch use.
