so i saw this thing on instagram about robotic eyes tracking motion and thought why not just figure out the mechanism myself from scratch. this is my take on it, basically you move the rod sticking out and the eyes do the opposite, push the rod up the eyes go down, move it left they go right. the two eyes are coupled together through ball joints and a connecting bar so they always move in sync, whatever you do to the rod the eyes mirror it inversely.
realized at the end why it wouldn't actually work as a tracker but its still a pretty cool demonstration of coupled motion.
