I've designed this pcar to make the gears vector legal for sub 120 fps nerf wars (fps is measured with 1.2 grams workers). The flycore with hurricanes and krakens typically hits a bit around 126-129 with the 1.2 gram darts, which is a bit too hot. So this pcar reduces the fps to around 110 fps and also improves accuracy. So pretty nice :)

If you want to design pcars for your own blasters, this is the recipe I'm using:

  • 12.6mm internal diameter (from fin to fin), sometimes a 12.4mm diameter works a bit better. For the gears vector specifically I noticed it was more accurate with the 12.6 mm internal diameter.

  • the fins themselves have a 1 mm width and a fillet of 0.4mm.

  • The effective part of the pcar is 50 mm.

I use this recipe in other flycore blasters as well and it seems to work well (better accuracy and the fps is now under 120 fps).
