These are flip caps for the Swamp Fox Raider 1x prism sight. I don't like the rubber covers that come with the sight. They're slow to take off and snap to the battery cap. If you don't snap them to the battery cap, they flop around and block the sight. So flip caps seemed to be the obvious solution - flip them open quickly, and they stay open. An improvement would be springs to keep the caps open, but I'm starting simple.
There are two pieces that bolt together around the flanges on the sight for both the front and rear (different sizes at each end). Then a cap attaches and can pivot to open and close. I used 4-40 x 3/8" allen head bolt going into captured hex nuts to clamp the two section together. I used a 2-56 x 3/4" allen head bolt threaded into the print for the cap pivot. I designed the parts to print in the orientation shown with minimal support. I used negative support painting to remove the supports that Orca Slicer wanted to place into the horizontal holes. The minimal supports I did use were fairly easy to remove. I drilled out the 2-56 holes to the measured OD of my 2-56 bolt, the counterbore for the bolt to just over the head size, and drilled out the 4-40 holes as well (just a loose fit needed on those). This gave just enough tension on the 2-56 bolt for the pivot when I threaded it in, and I don't think the screw is in any danger of backing out. The pieces that clamp to the sight end up deforming a bit when tightened down. The cap has a catch in it that snaps over a lip on the top clamp. I tweaked the size of the catch to match what my printer spit out and give a nice snap. It's possible you might need to tweak this for your machine.
I printed all of this in Voxel PLA+ HS with 3 walls and 25% infill. You might want to try a different material if your sight might sit in a hot car, be in the sun for a long time, etc. Mine mostly sits inside. The step files have the parts oriented as they will be assembled, but they should be split to objects and oriented as shown in the image of the build plate.
