I really liked the virtual boy tripod kit from @16bitvirtual, but I needed something more universal and adaptable for my setup.
I first modified the clamps so the Virtual Boy can now be secured from the rear using an M6 screw. Both part are named accordingly so you know which has the clearance-hole and which has the hole to cut the thread in.
The base was redesigned to accept M3 heat-set inserts. This allows the clamp assembly to be mounted using M3 screws.
For my own setup I designed an adapter-block to be used with the clamp-parts. I made one to mount the Virtual Boy to an adjustable lamp arm using a hex M8 bolt passing through the block.
If someone wants to create their own mounting solutions, I included the STEP-file of my adapter block.
