I usually end up gashing dents in my knife blade on the concrete step when trimming my hosepipe to fit a new connector or correct a leaking one when the hose has got weakened at the joint.
It's also good to get a 90 degree cut (if you can get your hose fully into the connector, otherwise maybe not so critical).
This simple model deals with both issues, enabling a good straight clean 90 degree cut while the blade ends up against the plastic base instead of chipping against a rock or step or whatever you're resting the hose on.
It's best if the hose is snug in the block, and I have different size hoses so I made a 16mm block and a 14mm block for those, so those are the supplied STLs. My knife is a Stanley FatMax which takes the largest size of snap-off blades and those are a bit less than 1mm thick, so I made the cutting slot 1mm wide for clearance. If your knife is a different thickness, you may want to use the F3D file in Fusion, altering the FX parameter for blade thickness - you can also customise the block for your hose thickness if you need to.
