I wanted a media player for my jellyfin server that was PoE and didn't spy on me.  This is what I came up with.  I have mine running Libreelec and it works great.  I used an 8GB Pi 5, which is almost certainly overkill.

Parts list:

WaveShare PoE Hat (G): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D8KJDRVD

PCIe to M.2 NVMe 2230/2242 SSD+Micro HDMI to HDMI Female Multifunctional Adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G3Q5TH2T

Raspberry Pi 5 PCI Ribbon Cables: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQ9ZR426

GeeekPi 18PCS Pure Copper Heatsinks for Raspberry Pi 5: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJDSGBL8

Noctua NF-A9 5V PWM: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DXTN515

92mm Fan Filter Grill: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G2R16PM1

I2C Qwiic Cable Kit Stemma QT Wire: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HQ1VSVL

NVME 2230 SSD (I had one laying around)

M2x12 bolt (to attach case halves together)

Assembly is very straight forward.  Put the PoE Hat on last if you want to get screws in all the standoffs.

Only tricky bit is the fan header.  Raspberry Pi's header is the 1.0mm 4 pin JST.  The wire colors do NOT match the typical PC fan header that the Noctua fan comes with.  I ended up cutting and soldering the JST header onto the Noctua wires.

If you get the same JST pigtails I bought, the colors are as follows:

Fan Color : JST color

Black : Blue

Yellow : Black

Green : Yellow

Blue : Red
