I made this for a painter pole as I have an 8m(27') painter pole I use for ham radio and testing or working on my antenna designs. I could not find one that satisfied my need so I made this one up in Solidworks.
To print, I laid the parts out as in the photo to minimize supports. I used tree supports from there. The supports that print in the threaded hole can be difficult unless your settings are good for print in place objects. I was able to break the support loose and unthread the supports out. you can try without support there but the threads may need some cleaning up to easily thread onto the pole.
I made the print in ASA to last a bit longer but I do not leave this out for more than a few days at best. I used 3 layer walls for strength and 25% infill and have had no issues with it breaking. you can use other filaments but the strength/longevity may vary depending on the choice you use.
The hole in the pulley is slightly larger so not to grip the pin but the housing is a press fit. I used a small hobby hammer to tap it into place just place the pulley in the slot first so tapping the outside doesn't flex it enough to crack the model. there is some bit left over on each side of the pin and I simply mated it where those overhangs are even. I can easily run a 7mm(1/4") rope through the pulley and with the pole fully up, pull an antenna wire up and down without needing to collapse the pole.
Thanks and happy printing!
