Tired of lugging around a bulky launch pad? Meet PARS-7 (Parhelion Adaptive Rocket System, 7th iteration) — a portable, foldable model rocket launcher designed to clip onto the back of a backpack and go wherever you do.
What makes it different
Adjustable launch angle — the dual-hinge core body lets you aim at any angle, not just straight up
Two-legged footprint — stable but compact, no tripod bulk
Folds flat — collapses into a small assembly that clips to a backpack strap
Nearly all printed — only 3× M3 bolts, 3× M3 nuts, and a launch rod needed
Cheap and easy — designed from the start to print without fuss
Hardware you'll need
3× M3 bolts
3× M3 nuts
1× Estes Maxi launch rod
1× blast plate (standard Estes plate, or fabricate your own — notes on GitHub)
Print settings
Print in orientations provided in photos
Print with 10~20% infill
Print with 3 walls
(Optional) Print legs with zero top or bottom layers, with any infill (honeycomb looks the best imo)
Safety note
Model rocketry is awesome but carries real risk. Follow your national rocketry safety code (NAR in the US), launch in open areas, keep spectators back, and verify the pad is safe for your setup before flying. This is a DIY design — you are responsible for your own launches.
