Saint Paschal Baylon (1540–1592) was a Spanish Franciscan lay brother renowned for his intense devotion to the Holy Eucharist, known as the "Seraph of the Eucharist". Born in Torrehermosa, Aragon, he worked as a shepherd before joining the Friars Minor in 1564. He spent his life in humble service as a cook, gardener, and porter, often in ecstasy before the Blessed Sacrament.
