This float valve is designed to block debris from entering your rain water catchment system from your first flush diverter. To use this print you'll place the ring between the Tee connector and 3" pvc pipe with the lip seated inside the pvc pipe and the flat side towards the connector.
The ball can be inserted into your first flush diverter through the cleanout once assembled. I've included 2 ball sizes, the maximum size (large) and minimum size (small) that shouldn't pass through the ring and provide a good enough seal. I'm currently using the smaller size to allow debris to pass around the ball so it should always be at the top but I haven't done extensive testing on which one performs better and this makes sense in my head.
This is designed for 3" schedule 40 pvc but can be scaled to fit other sizes.
Print in PETG since it works well with pvc, but since you don't technically need to bond this part and it sits between the pipe and the connector you can use other materials at your own discretion.
