My model is essentially a larger version of the desiccant loop dry box. I’m not using it in the HDRY system, but instead inside a BESTA cabinet from IKEA.

Since space is somewhat limited in my dry cabinet, I designed it to be placed horizontally and to hold a large amount of desiccant, so I only need to recharge it once or twice a month. I’ve just finished printing it, so I’ll be able to confirm that assumption in a few weeks.

For reference, I printed it on a Bambu Lab X1C. Both the lid and the chamber are printed as single pieces (it’s a very tight fit on a 256 × 256 bed), but the main body has to be printed in separate parts and then glued together.

As for the material, you can use the same one as in the original design.

For the desiccant, I use activated alumina desiccant beads. I didn’t include a link because I live in Canada, and there aren’t many places to buy them at a decent price besides Amazon.

I’ve included both the STL and the .3MF files from Bambu Studio—sorry, Prusa lovers.

You still need to chamfer the fan, as Jonathan mentions in his original video (around the 10:45 mark).

Hope you like it!!!!

Enjoy!!!
