I love the simple but very effective design of the origional model. Easy and simple to print.

However I want to be able to see the color changing silica jel inside to know the current status of it. So I made a remix with a cutout for clear window.

You need some kind of a clear film, cut into a square and glue into the insert area. The current model have the dimention of a 24mm long square on the indent, and the cutout itself is 19mm long square. So you have a bit of wiggle room to cut your insert.

Material choice: The same clear plastic bag that the filament comes in is what I use and works great. It is usually not prefectly flat, but we only need a tiny square, so finding a flat-ish section is good enough.

I use the E8000 glue I happen to have for fixing my headphone, any glue that holds the film in is enough, like CA glue.

A transparent filament printed insert might also work but is likely to be very cloudy, so I didn't go that route. (if you are doing transparent filament, why not just print the box in that?)
