I have made these Spacers to prevent the Baseplates from sliding around in Drawers that don't 100% fit the Gridfinity grid, using very little material.
They are not real springs of course since they will not keep their tension for very long. Though they will absorb sudden movements and fit even if a drawer isn't 100% rectangle or the dimensions aren't accurate.
Depending on the spacer width, they flex up to 3mm (obviously smaller ones don't flex as much).
Notes:
I recommend printing the spacers as Walls only (no infill)
I don't recommend using an inflexible polymer such as PLA ( I use PETG )
I have included widths of up to 21mm. If one is placed on either side of the Baseplate they cover a 42mm grid unit. Thus there should not be a need for larger sizes. If there is a need for larger sizes regardless, let me know.
