VSETT 9+ cables are exposed and prone do get damaged in case of a fall.
This cover is designed to solve this problem - it provides a sturdy case for the rear motor cable.
HOW TO PRINT IT
The model is designed with easy printing in mind: minimal supports, predictable results.
I've printed it using PETG with following settings:
Vertical shell -> Perimeters = 6
Horizontal shell -> Solid layers -> Bottom = 10
Infill density = 30%
Fill pattern = Gyroid
The part must withstand strong impacts, so by making the outer shell thicker and increasing infill density is required. The outre wall thickness is particularly important!
Note: this model is the 3rd iteration of the design. The first two versions broke due ti impact. The 3rd version is a based on failings of the first two versions.
INSTALLATION
The model consists of two parts: upper and lower allowing it to hug the fork tightly.
In addition to 3d printed parts you will also need screws:
2x 6mm thick hex/imbus screws
3x 3mm screws with square nuts for attaching the lower part
The first step is to implant the square nuts in the upper part. Use a screw to pull them in the square holes snugly. After that is completed you can proceed and mount it on your electric scooter: first pop on the upper part and loosely thread in the 6mm screws. Then add the bottom part, and screw it in using the 3mm screws. Finish by tightening all the screws snugly - be careful not to over tighten them and damage the plastic in the process.
Congratulation - your rear motor cable is now safe from damage!
