Protect and mount your PCB ADS-B antenna with this sleek, three-part radome system. Designed specifically for portable or temporary setups, this model provides a professional look while making it easy to deploy your gear in the field.
The Design:
Main Housing: Features a hollow core with alignment guides designed for the antenna to slide securely down inside.
Top Cap: A simple, low-profile cap that attaches to the top of the housing (recommended to be secured with a few drops of CA glue).
Removable Base Mount: A modular base that attaches to the housing. It is designed to accept 1/4-20 heat-set inserts (8mmX8mm), allowing you to bolt the entire assembly directly onto any standard photography tripod or light stand.
Printing Recommendations:
Material: PLA works great for temporary or indoor use. If you plan on leaving the antenna outdoors permanently, PETG or ASA is recommended for better weather and UV resistance. Also adding weatherproofing such as duct putty around the SMA connector and Radome Cap is recommended.
Post-Processing: Simply press-fit your heat-set inserts into the base, slide your antenna in, and glue the cap to finish the assembly.
