A nice tool to have when soldering - or probing - printed circuit boards!

Required hardware

  • a neodymium magnet of 3mm x 12mm diameter

  • M4x35mm bold

  • M4 nut (with nylon)

  • Spring of internal diameter > 4mm and outer diameter ≤ 7mm with length of ~16mm

I've used PETG to print it and added fuzzy skin on the outside to make it fancy.

How to print

Assembly

  1. Remove all support

  2. Add spring and the pusher to the body

  3. Insert the M4 bold and skrew the locknut on it from below. Don't set it too snug!

  4. Use some pliers to free the pins on the magnet. They could get a bit fused when printed

  5. Place the magnet in the magnet holder

  6. Push the magnet holder on the bottom of the body

Have fun!
