I changed his one-piece model by breaking it into individual parts that could be made in different colors.

...by DerBaer86, posted on June 04, 2017, into this model. I decided not to use Mr. Poo's eyes and mouth. I very roughly closed up the holes for those in this model and assembled it with those artifacts facing the back of the piece. I didn't spend a lot of time repairing the holes since it's already... you know.

This is a desktop object reflecting that the 3D printing experience isn't all blue skies and heart-warming, satisfying, as-intended results. Sometimes you make a little poo too. Sometimes more than a little.

This model is scaled up to 150% of the size of the earlier Christmas ornament and now includes a sign reflecting the theme. I also removed the hanger loop since I didn't intend this larger version as a hanging item.

The text cavities of the sign are 0.5 mm deep. I printed it face down with 0.15 layer height, switching from the face color filament to the text color filament at the beginning of layer 4. After layer 6 you can continue with the text color or pause and switch back to the face color.

The sign technique works best with a darker color on the face and a lighter color at layer 4. A dark color behind a few layers of a lighter color tends to darken the appearance of the face.

All the parts of this piece are glued together with cyanoacrylate gel.

A short piece of poop-colored filament can be heat-formed to fit between the spool and the print head of the model and glued in place. There are holes in both pieces to accommodate this. Be careful gluing up the spool parts to assure the hole is pointing up. Ditto when gluing the print head to the lower bar of the frame.
