When running an LGX Pro on Cristian's CNC Toolhead Mount for V-Core 4.X, aluminum filament inlet can get very very hot. I encountered some heat creep from it so, in addition to adding a toolhead filament sensor, like the orbiter filament sensor, this piece acts as thermal isolator to prevent some of the radiating heat from impacting the filament.
Can print it from a single material or use different materials with different thermal properties. If running this on an LGX Pro Metal, it will get extremely warm if in a heated chamber. Would recommend printing at least the thermal isolator piece (the white one in the rendering) of very temperature resistant material. The one Im running used PPS and PPS-CF. I used beam interlocking to ensure the connectivity was secure when printing. Without this, the left mounting tab will not have strong bonds.
Depending on the orientation of printing, a 4.5 or 5mm ball bearing should be used for filament sensing, and most ideal would be to us the normally closed pin on micro switch. I've also found that with Orbitool O2S toolboard, KF2510 connectors work perfect, much better than Dupont connectors.
