Finger splint for a child's hand or small adult hand. The splints on Printables all seem to be adult size and none scale correctly for smaller hands. This one balances rigidity with comfort while the finger-tip area is reinforced for strength. This splint is not as durable as a metal splint but much more comfortable. Use for temporary finger support or as a backup for a metal and foam splint.
Sized for a finger approximately 45-55 mm in length and 11-14 mm in width. The file scales larger without issue but do not scale smaller than 80% as this makes the design significantly weaker.
Enable "Support on build plate only." PLA and PETG work fine, ABS/ASA/Nylon will tend to warp without a heated chamber for this print. Print time of about 30 minutes and 3.8 grams of filament required.
