  • Provided split pieces for the main body for smaller print beds.

Another leather project template, this time for a travel hip pocket notebook holder. One of my everyday / weekend carry options.

The model is split into multiple parts, for each layer of the final product.

The main body is pretty straightforward, just trace and cut.

The notebook pocket will align with the right side of the body. Depending on leather thickness, you may want to adjust the inner tab part and trim the excess as these two pieces will want to bind up when you train the leather to reach around to snap the whole thing closed.

The left side card pocket, optional picket divider and pen holder should be assembled and stitched together before you attach them to the main body.

Double check that you have enough room for your cards before stitching the card pocket and pocket divider. If you look at my pictures, I stitched 2 lines of stitches and that made the spaces too small to hold cards.

The pen loop should be affixed as shown in the picture, to the left side divider.

When printing the templates, I tend to over build them, with extra floor/top layers to keep the pieces stiff. I've also been using gyroid lately for the fill at 15% which works pretty good and prints a little faster.
