This is something I seldom use so I do not like keeping the batteries in the instrument for fear of possible leakage and corrosion. The batteries can be stored separately, or a spare set can be store with two inside the sensor unit. The lid and bottom are printed separately, Wall thickness is only 1.5mm. I set up the walls in the slicer to 7 to make sure the hinges have plenty of solid material along with the battery holder. No supports are needed. The box halves use a piece of 1.75 filament for the hinge pin. Thread the filament through the hinges in the open position and work the two halves back and forth several times for it to open and close more easily.
