Awning Mesh Valance — 3D Printed Solution
The fabric drop valance on my cassette awning got damaged, and replacing it with an original part wasn't really an option. So I came up with a simple but effective alternative using 3D printed parts.
By combining a Carefree Awning Hook with a Trisphere mesh holder, I created a custom hook that allows Trisphere Flexible Mesh to be hung directly from the awning cassette. The mesh runs along the front edge and drops down just like the original valance — blocking low-angle sun and adding privacy without restricting airflow.
The result is a lightweight, weather-resistant solution that fits perfectly and looks clean. No drilling, no modifications to the awning itself — just clip it on and you're done.
A great example of how 3D printing can solve real-world problems when original parts fail or simply aren't available.
