This is a modified shift boot trim model for the Mini Cooper R56.

The model is based on an existing design, which was modified and adjusted for this setup. Original model/source: https://makerworld.com/ru/models/2092394-mini-r56-shift-boot-trim?from=search#profileId-2261997.

The assembly consists of two main printed parts:

  1. Upper trim / cup section
    This is the visible upper part of the shift boot trim. It is printed in PETG and fits around the shift boot area.

  2. Lower flexible rubber-style insert
    This part is printed in TPU and works as a flexible lower support/cover around the shift lever shaft.

The lower TPU insert has a slightly smaller opening than the shaft area, which allows it to sit tightly while still providing enough flexibility for normal gear lever movement. It does not restrict or interfere with the movement of the shift lever.

The height of the TPU insert can be adjusted using a standard cable tie/clamp fixed around the gear selector shaft. The TPU insert is then placed over it, and the height can be set by moving the clamp up or down. This allows the rubber insert to be pressed neatly against the upper trim section and adjusted depending on the required position.

Printing Information

The model was printed on an Anycubic Kobra 2 Pro.

Recommended print settings:

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm

  • Upper trim/cup section: PETG

  • Lower flexible insert: TPU

The upper trim section should be printed with supports.
The lower TPU insert can be printed without supports.

Customization

I have also included the editable Fusion 360 file, so the model can be easily modified.

You can customize the design as needed, for example:

  • add your own logo on the right side;

  • add gear position numbers;

  • adjust the shape or details;

  • modify the design for your own setup.

The model is shared as an open and editable project, so feel free to adjust it for your own Mini Cooper R56 interior.
