DESCRIPTION: Inexpensive industrial USB endoscopes usually come in a flimsy cardboard box. This case is better than the box. It should fit semi-rigid or flexible cables up to at least 5 meters in length and has a place for a small instruction booklet, camera attachments and a couple of USB adapters that usually come with these cameras.

PRINTING: PLA is generally adequate for a basic box like this but just about any filament should work. Printing at 0.2mm or 0.3mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle and 2 perimeters should work great. No supports are required if you print the STL files in their default orientations. I recommend using a brim for the latches. If you have any worries about bed adhesion on the box parts use a brim or some corner tabs to help hold them down. A brim doesn't take much filament, only takes a few minutes to print and is pretty good insurance against having a corner warp on big flat things like these box parts. It's probably not necessary but if you have any doubts add a brim or tabs.

ASSEMBLY: This box requires six 3mm x 30mm screws to complete the hinges and latches.

WATER PROOF? If you want to try to make this box water proof you will need to use more perimeters or a sealant along with the included seal printed in soft filament. As an alternative to printing a TPU seal you could fill the groove with silicone or something that will make a flexible seal.  I don't use my rugged boxes in wet conditions so I haven't tried to waterproof them. It would be interesting to hear in the comments if you use a successful method on this particular model.
