Premium Parametric Speaker Grille Generator (OpenSCAD)

Easily create high-end, automotive-style (Burmester-inspired) acoustic grilles for any speaker size. Instead of a basic square grid, this OpenSCAD generator uses strict polar math to create perfect geometric spirals and a pulsing halftone gradient effect.

Designing thousands of variable-sized holes usually crashes traditional CAD software like Fusion 360. This script circumvents that by using optimized 2D-to-3D mathematical generation, allowing you to render highly complex meshes in seconds.

🔧 Fully Customizable Parameters:

Included is the .scad file. Open it in OpenSCAD and easily tweak:

  • Total Diameter: Fit any custom speaker enclosure.

  • Ring Width: Define the solid outer mounting border.

  • Hole Spacing & Sizes: Control the density and airflow.

  • Gradient Waves: Adjust the sine-wave math to create multiple "bands" of pulsing hole sizes from the center to the edge.

(Note: The polar math logic and OpenSCAD code structure were generated with AI assistance, then manually refined, optimized, and stress-tested for FDM 3D printing.)
