As stated this is a post to allow new hinges to be mounted on the cabinet doors of an Airstream Basecamp 20X (BC20X). The hinges will replace the manufacturers hinges and allow full access to the cabinet contents.
This post may (should!) work with other Basecamp trailers (i.e. 16), and may well work with other applications. The post is required since the offset of the mounting screws for the hinges is deeper than the thickness of the wall it is being mounted to.
The hinge being used is the MDKave Glass Door Hinges sold on Amazon. Used M4 wood screws to attach - I think 20mm going into the wall and whatever the hinges came with to attach them to the post.
(Yes I know the screw heads are stripped in the picture. Could not get my head back there to see what I was doing, they are attached pretty well so not worried about removing them any time soon)
