When using my cooler for camping, I faced the problem of freezer burn when vegetables directly touched the ice in the cooler. This model is designed to fix this issue. The ice can be placed below the riser, while the food is stored on top, thereby separating both.

The riser is printed in four parts, which are held together by small clips, making it possible to use smaller printers. Additionally, I also designed a modified clip that functions as a thermometer holder.

Print Instructions

For one full riser, the following models need to be printed:

  • 2x Dometic Partol 20 - Riser (top-right bottom-left).stl

  • 2x Dometic Partol 20 - Riser (top-left bottom-right).stl

  • 4x Dometic Partol 20 - Connector.stl

I used the following setting for my print:

  • Printed in PLA, but any rigid filament should do

  • 6 wall loops

  • 25% gyroid infill

  • No support needed when printing the .stl files in the given orientation

Assembly

The four parts of the riser need to be put together using the four clips. Assembly is the easiest when two parts of the riser are stacked on top of each other face to face. The clip then can be put into position and the two parts of the riser are folded into place.
