Meet the Breach Abomination, a terrifying, multi-limbed monstrosity born from the deepest rifts of the Breach. This model was designed from the ground up specifically for tabletop wargames and roleplaying games (TTRPGs), fully optimized for home FDM 3D printing.

The beast features a frightening anatomy: a cluster of predatory tentacles around its maw, four powerful limbs ending in sharp claws, and a long, prehensile tail. The model comes with an integrated, textured base representing the rocky, ruined terrain of the Breach.

Key Design Features

1. Playability & Tabletop Function (35% Weight)

  • High Stability: The model features a low center of gravity and a solid, wide base, ensuring it remains securely on the map during dynamic gameplay.

  • Distinct Silhouette: The aggressive, dynamic pose makes the creature instantly recognizable on the table as a "Boss" or a major threat to the party.

  • Durability: Parts that are traditionally vulnerable during transport or handling, such as the tentacles and tail, have been intentionally thickened at critical points to withstand heavy tabletop use.

2. Scale Accuracy & Tabletop Compatibility (20% Weight)

  • Heroic Scale: Designed strictly within the popular 28–32mm tabletop scale standard.

  • True Centerpiece: Its dimensions perfectly fit the definition of an "Epic Monster" — it towers over standard human or elf miniatures, creating an impressive focal point for any battle.

  • Grid Friendly: The integrated round base fits perfectly within standard tactical grid systems used in popular RPGs.

3. FDM Optimization & Reliable Printability (20% Weight)

  • Real-World Tested: The gallery images showcase an authentic, physical print made on a standard home FDM printer using regular PLA filament.

  • Smart Overhangs: The angles of the arms, spikes, and tentacles are carefully designed to minimize the need for support material.

  • Clean Post-Processing: Contact points for supports are hidden beneath natural anatomical folds, meaning the model requires minimal cleanup or sanding after printing.

Recommended Print Settings

This model has been thoroughly tested using a profile optimized for high detail and structural strength:

  • Material: PLA or PETG

  • Layer Height: 0.12 mm or 0.16 mm (recommended for smooth transitions on the head and carapace)

  • Wall Loops: 3 (increases the strength of the claws and tail)

  • Infill: 10-15% (Gyroid recommended)

  • Supports: Enabled — Tree (Slim) or Tree (Organic) supports are highly recommended, as they easily peel away from the spaces between the limbs and torso.

  • Orientation: Print vertically (default orientation in the provided file).

All plater files are tested and ready to print. If you like this creature from the Breach, please leave a like and add it to your collections.
