This is a ballast mod for V-Spooler X. There are various reasons why you may be interested in this mod:

  • V-Spooler X is a bit top-heavy before you do your re-spooling. This lowers the center of gravity.

  • More stable

  • Potentially quieter, as the mass should hopefully reduce any vibration

The ballast mod is essentially a little box that attaches under V-Spooler that you fill with concrete (or whatever) to add weight to. There are a couple of versions available initially:

  • Smaller (lighter) and larger (heavier) versions

  • Variants for the current V-Spooler X and motor mod

The normal V-Spooler X version requires the following components to build:

  • 12x M3 inserts

  • 12x M3x8 screws and washers

  • Ready mix concrete

The motor mod version requires the following parts:

  • 20x M3 inserts

  • 20x M3x8 screws and washers

  • Ready mix concrete

If you are building the motor mod version you will need a hex wrench or driver that can go deep enough to connect the part that goes under the motor mod to the part that connects to the main body.
