Getting good dermatoscopic photos is difficult with tablets.  DL made an attachment, but unfortunately, it registers as a touch on the screen side and the range finding sensors on the newer iPads get blocked by the full ring.  Thus enters this option.  A full ring is not strictly needed, so avoiding the sensors is possible.  The ring fits snuggly in the dermatoscope (DL3 needs the magnetic ring).  The ring is thinner than the OEM version due to most iPads having cases these days, and so focus is roughly the same as when looking through the eyepiece.

Needed:

  • CA glue

  • 2x4mm magnet disks

I used a resin printer, but may not be strictly needed.

2 versions, one for thin cases, one for thicker.
