Stackfinity Bases - Single Print Collection

Gridfinity is a great storage solution spec from the mind of Zac Freedman of Voidstar Labs.

One shortcoming (amazingly) that I found in the wider community was the ability to stack Gridfinity whilst remaining easily accessible when storing a large number of bins.

Stackfinity is about storing Gridfinity Bins onto bases that can then be stacked on top of each other, with sufficient support so as to not randomly disassemble everywhere. Support strength comes from a combination of a more rigid set of stacking bases as using your chosen Gridfintiy bin that matches the height of these handles.

If you like what you see and do makes, I'd love to see how this project evolves over time, so please share your makes for others to see!

Stackfinity consists of the following Models Sets

  • Stackfinity - Home (Overview)

  • Stackfinity - Handles - Stackfinity Base Plate Handles

  • Stackfinity - Bases - Single - This Page

  • Stackfinity - Bases - Stack - Stacked Bases for printing multiple bases at once (Coming Soon).

  • Stackfinity - Bases - Wire Shelves - Special Deep Bases that can be modified for Wire Racks (e.g. IKEA)

  • Stackfinity - Tools - Life improvement tools to make mass assembly easier.

  • Stackfinity - Labels - Edge on Labels for Identifying what's on the Stack Shelf (Coming Soon).

  • Stackfinity - <More to come in time!>

Printing and Assembly

  1. Choose your desired handle Size from the Stackfinity Handles above. This should match your selected Base chosen from this page, or the Stackfinity - Bases - Stacking page if you wish to print multiple bases in one go.

  2. Print 2 matching handles

  3. (Optional) Print the Stackfinity - Nut Tool if you want to make it easier to assemble your bases (Linked Tools Project above)

  4. Screw the Handles to the base using M3x12mm (or longer) with as many pairs of screws you feel is needed for your current shelf.

Downloading bases

Bases come if the following Bin Widths and Depths.

  • 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 - Up to 8 Bins Wide

  • 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 - Up to 8 Bins Deep.

Not every permutation is provided, and 3 Wide x 2 Deep is the same as 2 Wide and 3 Deep. The shortest side folder below will contain the longer side, just rotated.

All filenames have the format "Stackfinity-Base-WxDxH-Single.3mf" where H will always be 1 for this page (single stack only).

N.B. If anything is missing or you would like a specific size generated, then drop me a message and I will add that to the collection!
