Say you are just going through your day using your phone like normal and whoops... It restarts? You seem wary of this occurrence, but after it restarts, everything seems normal. You forget about it and go on with your day, continuing your daily doomscroll quota.
After a week you wake up to your dear S22 Ultra being stuck in a perpetual cycle of reboots, never fully awakening again. You stare blankly at the phone as it dawns in that no, you did not back up those precious pictures of your dog that didn't come out blurry and no, forget about all the passwords you have saved in your notes (please just consider a password manager).

Meatballs! Should have made a backup...

The S22 Ultra is a beautiful phone and an incredible feat of engineering, boasting a rich feature set and offers premium quality*.

Why the asterisk?

The phone was released with a high-end processor manufactured by Samsung (both Exynos and Snapdragon; for simplicity's sake, I'll lump them under the same umbrella since both are affected) which boasted impressive performance for its time.
One teeny tiny detail that was kind of omitted is the heat it produced to reach its potential that could make your common industrial wok burner blush. Combined with the fact that there are probably mistakes in either design or assembly, you have chips that are slowly detaching themselves from their mainboard due to constantly cycling through heating up and cooling down (the heatcycles essentially expands and contracts the solid solder connections used under the chip, which could potentially create fractures inbetween the chip and mainboard causing a disconnect, and hence result in your phone panicking and bootlooping).
Inspired by some posts online I designed this clamp for the S22U (and potential future phones?) to temporarily escape the bootloop.
It could happen tomorrow, or never to any device out there. Nonetheless it is always wise to make backups.

TLDR: Is your S22 Ultra bootlooping? Try this clamp to temporarily (potentially) boot for a while to create a backup before resorting to an expensive repair.

Admittedly overdesigned, but since it worked I at least thought it would be good to share it. Same thing could be achieved with a storebought clamp honestly, but since I have a printer I do have to make use of it...

Printed with PLA for extra rigidity (normal PLA works fine, PETG could work but since it is less rigid it could lessen the pressure).

Requirements:
- Glue

Settings (what worked for me, lower infill could work too):
- Layer height: 0.20mm
- Walls: 3
- Infill: 25% Adaptive Cubic
- Support: normal snug support for body only
Further instructions are specified under the print files.
Print for me took around 100g of filament in total with specified settings.

Instructions:

1. Print all parts according to instructions (or not, up to you) in the correct orientation:

2. Remove supports.
3. Prescrew the screws in the body and clamp attach pieces so that the compenents screw smoothly (this        step may be hard depending on your printers performance).
4. Assemble both clamp attach pieces to the pressure plate and make sure they can spin freely in place.

5. Screw the screws into the body, when the screws show partially add a dab of superglue on the end of the thread to firmly attach them to the clamp attach pieces (make sure not to overdo it and glue the clamp attach pieces to the pressure plate, they need to be able to spin!). The goal here is to have the screws stay attached and secure to the clamp attach pieces which in turn secures the pressure plate in place while being able to freely rotate.

6. Insert the phone and apply pressure to the region marked on the photo with turning both screws (front view, credit to iFixit). Keep the screws level to one another to keep the appplied pressure equal/ pressure plate level.
(Optionally you can add some thin paper or foam and glue them to the surfaces that are applying pressure to the phone as to not scatch the surface)

7. If it keeps bootlooping, apply more pressure rinse and repeat. If the phone boots, make sure to keep it cool and make the neccesary backup.

No guarantee that this is going to work every time. Worth the try before going in for an expensive repair. Hope it helps!
