      Hardware You'll Need:

  • Motor: N20 Micro DC Gear Motor (I used the 3V 100 RPM version)

  • Battery: 1S LiPo Battery, model 502030 (fits perfectly inside the case)

  • Switch: SS12D00 Slide Switch

You can use with the sphere to cover the n20 motor or without it. I think it looks really cool with the motor showing up.

I'm currently waiting for the parts I ordered to arrive so I can put everything together and record a video of it working—I'll update the project here soon. I would love to hear about your assembly experience and any suggestions you have for improvements!

⚠ Update (July 18)

  • New Base System: I have updated the base to a much simpler design! Now, after attaching both parts to the cap button, you lock everything in place using the motor piece. The previous spring-based system wasn't working as well as expected.

  • Thicker Propeller: I also increased the thickness of the propeller to make it much easier to print.
