The Maytech handset receiver for e-foil or foil assist has a fully exposed receiver PCBWAY which is usually mounted inside a waterproof case housing batteries and other electronics. Sealing in epoxy in a printed box provides waterproofing and mechanical protection.
The compact box will accept the PCB once the orange relay and all connectors are removed. Solder on cables, slide into case and fill with epoxy.
A 'solder sucker' soldering iron to remove the relay and connector blocks makes the job a pleasure instead of a nightmare.
There are two options, either solder a connector on flying cables to the + - 5v or solder the previously removed three pin connector straight to the PCB, the epoxy provides the mechanical support for the latter.
