I made a simple cookie cutter for making scones.

Recipe

  • 300g flour

  • 60g butter

  • 160ml milk

  • 1/2 tsp of salt

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 3 tbsp caster sugar

  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Mix the dry ingredients with the butter until they resemble bread crumbs.

Now mix in the milk until the dough starts to stick together.

Briefly knead the dough (~ a dozen times) and form a flat circle of around 3cm thickness.

Use the cookie cutter to cut out scones but don't twist the cutter while going down or up.

Place the scones on a baking sheet and bake for around 12 minutes. Let them cool down for another ten minutes.

Enjoy

PS: The cutter can also be used to cook Syrniki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syrniki
