During my holidays in Danish holiday homes, I often noticed that the small bedrooms lacked tables or places to charge mobile phones. However, a power outlet was always available. I therefore designed this holder to charge smartphones directly from a wall outlet, with the holder hanging on the charger.

The cutout for the charger measures 38 x 26 mm and should fit most smaller chargers. The smartphone width can range from 62 to 86 mm. The fixed and movable parts are pulled together by a household rubber band, thus clamping the phone in place. For safety, two rubber bands can be used, as the smartphone could fall down if the rubber band breaks.

Optionally, self-adhesive silicone pads can be attached to the designated recesses on both the charger holder (max. diameter 11 mm) and the smartphone clamps (max. diameter 8 mm) for improved grip.

The fixed and movable parts are loaded into the slicer together as one single STL or STEP file and printed using print-in-place.

Note:
The prototype shown in the photos is missing the cutout for the USB connector, which can be seen in the CAD screenshot.
