Honest John Model Rocket (BT-55 scale)

The Honest John is one of my most favorite rockets, I had one in my first collection of model rockets back in 60s.

This one is based on the Estes BT-55 tube and  the Airframe can be replaced with a BT-55 but you can also just print the Airframe section.  Keep in mind the BT-55 tube will last longer as the printed airframe is more likely to break along the build plane.

Currently there isn't a printed mount for the shock cord for the airframe.  My thought for this is either drill a small hole to thread kevlar thread or if you go with the paper BT-55 body tube, glue the shock cord to the interior wall (classic method).

If you feel you need to add nose weight to get the balance you want, there is holder you can put inside the nosecone that will allow you to easily add the weight.

The threaded shoulder of the nose cone has a passage for attaching the shock cord.

You can mount both short and long 24mm motors and there is a spacer for the shorter motors.
