Constellation Extruder for Elegoo Centauri Carbon + Stock Hotend
A remix of the Constellation extruder (design inspired by the Sherpa Mini) adapted for the stock Centauri Carbon hotend — no need to switch to a TZ or other hotend.
Changes compared to the original and the stock extruder:
Fixed the factory misalignment between the filament channel and the extruder
Reduced head mass by roughly 10–12 g
(Optional) Single-drive layout instead of dual gearing — eliminates gear rattle (needed Japan MR93ZZ) (I use)
Gears positioned for easy lubrication without disassembly
Printed and tested on my own Centauri Carbon (CoreXY, OpenCentauri) — with the new feeder, filament flow became noticeably more even, with consistent PETG print quality.
Compatible with the stock Centauri Carbon hotend.
Hardware needed:
8x M3x4x5 heat-set threaded inserts (for feeder)
1x KJH 04-M6
2x M2.5x4x3.5 heat-set threaded insert (for fan)
2x M2.5x12 bolts (for fan)
