I remixed DrZ's light switch cover, adding a small hole at top and bottom. this allows the covered switch to be operated with a suitable object. a small screwdriver works well, as does a kitchen skewer. this keeps the switch safe form both accidental operation, and all but the most determined of problem-solving toddlers.
