*Update 8/8/26 - What a pain in the nuts. Im about to return it but i shall not be defeated by this bathroom fixture. I went out and bought PETG and then made more adjustments. Currently, v5 is holding up the shower head and seems to work well. We live in the world of enshitification.

Huge miss on Kohler with this shower head. I could easily return this to Costco but i hate the idea of throwing this thing away with it working as it should otherwise. The back plastic piece of the shower head that holds the magnet broke off less than 2 weeks into owing it. The main reason is the hose is too long and lets the shower head hit the ground, the other is we are just clumsily.  This is obviously a problem since people have left reviews about this exact issue all over the internet. Check reviews before you buy everything now a days.

The part holds a magnet and a piece of metal with foam on it. Make sure to check the orientation of the magnets before clipping into shower head as you will likely need to break the part to remove it. There are 2 lengths of clips, the shorter ones go into the 3 and 6 o'clock position and the longer ones to the 9 and 12 o'clock positions.  See photos for reference.

Currently on version 4 with wider tabs than the original. Much better fit and has little rotation. Something with more heat resistance and flexibility is likely better like PETG but because the part requires supports, that can be an issue with PETG sticking to supports. I will likely print my final version from ABS. This print is a lot more robust than the original since i filled in all the dead space. The part could be stronger but since it has to fit 2 interfaces together, it is hard to add material for strength.

Printed at 0.08 layers, 6 walls, 100% infill, tree support, build plate only, do not remove small overhangs (slicer ignores tabs and print will fail if enabled). Print laying down with the tabs pointed up. I have not tried printing at a 30 or 45 degree since it increases print time by 25% and with the small details on the tabs, i don't think it would work.

Happy Sparse infilling!
