Solar Eclipse Viewing Frame for 119×89 mm Welding Filter Plate
Never observe the Sun without proper eye protection. Looking directly at the Sun without a suitable solar filter can cause permanent eye damage in just a few seconds. Always use a certified solar filter or a genuine welding filter plate of an appropriate shade, and inspect it for cracks or other damage before every use.
This model is a simple handheld frame for the common 119 × 89 mm welding filter plate, making it more comfortable and secure to hold while observing a solar eclipse. Instead of gripping the glass directly, the frame provides a larger, more ergonomic handle and helps reduce the risk of dropping or chipping the filter.
The frame also includes an eyelet for attaching a lanyard, allowing you to keep it around your neck when not in use.
Features
Fits the standard 119 × 89 mm welding filter plate.
Comfortable handheld frame.
Integrated lanyard attachment.
Quick and easy print with no supports required.
The filter is held securely while remaining easy to insert and remove.
Assembly
Simply snap the welding filter plate into the frame. No screws, glue, or additional hardware are required.
Safety
This model does not provide eye protection by itself. Its only purpose is to hold a suitable solar viewing filter. Use a welding filter Shade 12 or 13!
Use only an undamaged, genuine welding filter plate of an appropriate shade for direct solar observation.
Inspect the filter before each use. If it is cracked, chipped, scratched, or otherwise damaged, replace it.
Never look at the Sun through this frame without a proper filter installed.
Do not use this holder with ordinary tinted glass, smoked glass, sunglasses, photographic filters, CDs/DVDs, or any other improvised materials.
Enjoy the eclipse safely, and clear skies!
