These models are housing for solar filters using Baader AstroSolar® ClearWhite Safety Film.
They attache to the Tamron 18-270 vc di II & 17-50 f2.8 and the Nikon AF-S 70-300mm or any other Nikon 58mm lenses using the bayonet attachment.
You can print these pieces and carefully glue in and the sandwich the Baader film with M3 harware.
These were used to capture solar photography leading up to the April 8th 2024 total solar eclipse. Unfortunately cloudy weather limited the amount of use during the actual eclipse.
Ensure you do the proper research when making a solar filter and buy quality solar film as solar photogray can be dangerous if done incorrectly.
