This is an easy to print hook that fits firmly on the end of your pool-pole so that you can retrieve your pool cleaning robot vacuum from the deep end without getting wet.
I got a wireless pool cleaner. The hook it came with quickly proved wanting as it would fall off at the slightest pressure. Lucky for me, I have a 3D printer.
I recommend printing this in colour(s) that contrast your robot, so that you can tell where the hook end and the robot begins -- even underwater. I printed a black one for my black robot and I could not tell if the hook was around the handle.
I recommend printing at least the detents part in PETG for longevity. The pieces should be printed as are oriented. You will need to have somewhat tuned bridge settings for best results but you should not need supports. Once both parts are printed, flip the detents over from how they printed, and gently squeeze them until they fit inside the hook. Slide the detents around until they find their holes. From there, you can attach it to your pool-pole like any other tool.
I designed this for the robot, but I found it can be useful for getting other awkward items out of the pool, like branches or dive toys. Let me know what you use it for.
I hope you love this model and when you do, I hope you'll post a make. Happy Printing!
