3-in-1 Play Styles
twistR that can be used in different ways. Its fast and has a long rotation. — Spins flat on a desk, in your hand, or docks onto an optional vertical stand and can also be attached on a vertical surface with magnets.
Comes with two different core builds to chose from.
Two build options
Option A Print In Place Core
if your printer is good calibrated print the 3mf file Herringbone_pip_core that includes all the necessary settings.
Option B
the planetary gears can be printed separately and dont need special settings. (I just use 3 perimeters instead of the default 2)
The print is simpler (no herringbone gears) and you can customise it chosing different colors etc. But note that changing filaments, especially inside the core gears might lead to clearence problems
The assembly in both options is simple and can be shown, in detail, below.
NOTE that all other parts are common for both versions. A longer middle shaft is also available (for bigger fingers)
Parts and Assembly
Both versions use 3x 608 bearings
optionA an extra cover is included for faster print (use only with this option) Filename Cover_simple_A and Cover-simple_B.
option B Parts (simple core)

Stand with base magnets
A desk stand that enables vertical rotation without the need of holding it. Under the bridge that connects the pieces, there s place for 2 round neodymium magnets 8mm x 3mm that allow vertical mount on a surface.
If you wish to use a different magnet, use negative volume in the slicer to fit your magnet in. eg rectangular.

NOTE For the stand, use the 3mf file as it contains layer height modifier for smoother sloped faces and is placed correctly
Important Note on Magnetic Mounting:
Before spinning the model at full speed on a vertical surface (like a fridge or metal wall), test the magnetic hold first!
Depending on the strength of your magnets and the surface material, the grip will vary.
Start with a gentle spin to make sure the stand stays securely in place and doesn't slide down or detach.
In general, go easy on it—don't slam it or force high-speed spins until you know your setup can handle the torque!
